JEFF GUNN GUIDE SERVICE 903-765-2155
Report Date: September25, 2008 Best Method: topwater Depth: 5ft Best Lure: yellow magic Best Color: shad Water Temp: 78 Water Clarity: 3ft
This week on Lake Fork the water temp is high 70's to low 80's depending on where you are on the lake. The lake level is just under full pool. With the onset of fall the fish are shallow or on the move out deep. Shallow fish have been hitting top water early and weightless stick-o's in watermelon hues with or without dipped dye tails. We have also been catching some good fish on a black and blue jig and pig claw. Shad colored Bandit 100 crankbaits on the edge of the grass have been a good bet. The deep fish although moving are being caught on spoons, dropshot, carolina rigs and swimbaits. As the water temps drop the fishing should only get better. Untill next time be careful and stick a big one!! Now is the time to book your fall winter trip and start thinking about your spring trip! If you would like to book a trip call me at 903-765-2155 or email me at jeff@gunnsguideservice.com .
